What We Do

Intenistive Outpaient

Here at Redwood Recovery, we provide services to people that do not meet the criteria of a residential level of care. We help clients gain the skills and tools needed to become productive members of society. We feel that it is important to work on healing the whole body Mentally, Emotionally, Physically, and Spiritually. Our Intensive outpatient program provides 9 hours of group counseling, individual counseling is also an essential element of intensive outpatient programs but is not considered the primary form of treatment.

Outpatient

Clients will meet with a counselor their counselor up to 6 hours a week. OP programs may primarily focus on the patient’s immediate issues arising from their substance abuse and how to achieve and maintain abstinence.

Group Sessions

We provide group sessions 3 times a week. We offer both day and Night groups. Our day groups met on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Our night groups are held Monday, Thursday, and Friday 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Group therapy is the main social component to an IOP’s therapeutic treatment. The goal is to foster healthy socialization and build communication skills in clients. Clients meet in a therapist-guided peer session to discuss their addictions and coping skills. In group, clients learn to deconstruct old behaviors together with their peers. As they reform with their peers, they integrate new life skills to support their goal of sobriety. Group sizes are usually intimate at around 8-15 members. You may find even smaller groups in private IOPs, designed to give a more individual focus. In therapy, the counselor will check in with clients. Then, peers all share personal stories. The group will then pivot to discuss the day’s topic on cognitive that foster recovery. As therapy progresses, peers learn to receive and provide support, comfort, and feedback.

We treat the whole family

Family therapy for addiction treatment helps the family as a whole recover from the impact of addiction by helping all members make healthy, positive changes as the person in recovery heals from addiction.. Family therapy views the family as a system of different parts, with those parts being the family members.

Individual and Family Sessions

Clients will meet with a counselor weekly for individual counseling and case management. We also provide family counseling when needed. Such individual sessions may dedicate relatively less time to evaluating the more longstanding, underlying conflicts that contribute to problematic substance use.

Life Skills

We understand that life can be hectic and learning how to deal with life on life's terms can be triggering. We provide to tools needed to help our clients work through difficult times.
